How The Program Works

  1. Pre-Training System Health Check A TC technician reviews your control system for issues (settings, backups, alarms, etc.). You get a short written summary so problems are flagged before training begins.
  2. Customized Training Plan We design a syllabus around your facility, roles, and SOPs. Modules are matched to growers, maintenance, or managers, so everyone learns only what’s relevant.
  3. Live Training Sessions (On-Site or Remote) Delivered in 2–3 focused sessions (4–6 hrs total) with Q&A. Led by both former growers and system experts.
  4. Training Materials & Recordings Digital & physical GrowOps Training Kits (binder/dividers, quick-reference cards). Digital access to recordings of the sessions, so you can reuse them with every new hire.
  5. Follow-Up Support 1–2 hours of remote support included to troubleshoot questions after the training. Option to continue for all new-hires on an annual package.

What You'll Take Away

After our team has conducted the initial training, you'll receive a digital GrowOps Training Kit customized to your operation. You'll also get video recordings for each stage in your unique training process (iPads not included) that your new hires can take with them as they go through the training process.

Mark Spicer – Grower and Hoogendoorn Expert A former Head Grower at BrightFarms and Organic Farm Manager at Walter P. Rawl & Sons, Mark takes a grower-first approach to control system training. Now a CEA Sales Engineer at  TC Control Group, he translates crop goals—climate, fertigation, labor flow—into practical Argus strategies, helping teams use the system the way growers actually work.
Richard Miller – Argus Control Expert & Curriculum Developer With 24 years as the Argus Application Services Manager, Richard delivered 40+ North American training seminars and led commissioning and on-site training for complex greenhouse control projects worldwide. He managed and mentored application teams (12 technicians; 10 application engineers) and served as project lead on 20–25 installs—including Argus’s largest—giving him deep, real-world expertise to teach Argus hardware and software with authority.
Timothy Peng – Argus Control Expert As a former Argus Applications Technologist, Tim built and delivered the company’s customer onboarding and training—one-on-one and webinar—while providing frontline hardware/software support. With hands-on production-tech electrical troubleshooting, he translates Argus controls into clear, practical grower workflows as a systems grow instructor. With GrowerReady, he'll be delivering 
Mike Wolf – Grower and Hoogendoorn Expert Previously Director of Cultivation at PRICH Biotech, Mike ran a 400,000-sq-ft facility and led the implementation of the Hoogendoorn IIVO platform. He specializes in fertigation skid startup and tuning, and brings hands-on experience integrating Hoogendoorn, Argus, and H.E. Anderson.
